1948

Our Story
It all started with the dream and ambition of Dr Atia Zafer, who came to Pakistan after migrating in 1948. Pakistan’s current situation was crucial at that time, and there were no basic healthcare facilities for women, which led her to establish her first clinic, “The Atia General Hospital,” in 1965. During that time, she was also pursuing her medical studies at Dow Medical College.
The journey of Koohi Goth Hospital started after the hard work and success of Atia General Hospital. With continuous improvement, the idea of Dr. Atia to establish a free-of-cost hospital dedicated to women has become a reality with a 200-bed advance medical facility where thousands of underprivileged women are treated every day.
Our Mission
Our mission at Koohi Goth Hospital is to make medical facilities and obstetrical care accessible to all women across Pakistan. We are committed to
reducing the maternal mortality rates that occur often due to the unavailability of skilled professionals and facilities.
